Seattle Hash House Harriers Hare Guidelines

BEER/MUNCHIES RESPONSIBILITIES AND HASH CASH

You should charge $7 hash cash for your hash if you are going to provide just trail beer/water.  Your budget to be reimbursed by hash cash should be $1/head (included in the $7 hash cash).

The other $6 goes to head tax (for expenses like the hotline, the website, special events, etc) and what the BC (beer committee) will provide – which is the following:

You are expected to buy any beer/water for beer stops on trail (assume a norm of 25 SH3 hashers if the announcement is out on time).

If you plan to do other things that you expect will exceed the $1/head, you should raise the hash cash to cover that.  For example, it you want to have a beer check at a pub with more than a $1/head cost of beer or if you want to provide extra food, you should charge above the $7/head to cover what you think those expenses will be (based on 25 hasher norm).   ***  NOTE – Beer Committee is in the process of negotiating keg deals with a local brewer, which will likely reduce the base hash cash from $7 to $6.  More info to follow.
