Richard "Late Dick" Anderson

Born on June 12, 1940. Richard H. (Dick) Anderson, son of Bernice Eleanor
Whiteley Anderson and Karl Bertil Anderson. Passed away on April 19, 2005. He
grew up in Ballard and went to Ballard High School. Survived by his wife Nancy
H. Ito and children Shelley J. Anderson (Tom Krider), Kirsten L. Wilson (Brad),
and Mark M. Anderson (Kim Skarda); and grand children Kendall and Henry Krider,
Samantha and Madelyn Wilson, and Aidan & Lucien Anderson. Dick was a History
Teacher for 30 years, and organized the Federal Way Ski School for 26 years. He
had the gift of warmly connecting with people with his sense of humor, easy
going, gentle and humble demeanor. He loved participating in life, local and
national politics, world affairs, Jazz and travel, as well as nature, sports,
green jello, Dick's Root Beer Floats, and large popcorn with free refills at the
Crest Movie theater. One of Dick's favorite songs was "What a Wonderful
World," and this Wonderful World will greatly miss him. Memorial
Celebration to be held at the Center for Urban Horticulture on Sunday May 1,
2005, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers and gifts, donations can be sent to the
Burien-Highline Senior Center or the Wallingford Senior Center's Co-ed Senior
Softball Team, the Sting. Ya sure.
