Cloudburst Brewing - aptly named for this week - is Belltown's newest and only brewery. (Pike is firmly in "downtown" territory and Gordon Biersch obviously doesn't count. Fight me.)
Started by former Elysian Steve Luke (sidenote: never trust a guy with two first names) who jumped ship when they sold out, Cloudburst intends to be a little taproom for the locals.
The building that formerly housed Elliott Bay Bicycles (RIP in Peace) has been transformed into a charming taproom that shows off the best and latest experiments from the mind behind such heavy hitters as Space Dust IPA and Split Shot Stout. His coffee porter has been lauded as "marvelous. Silky, gorgeous, truly the best of Seattle in a glass." That's probably florid praise. Come find out for yourself.
There are some v sexy rumors of a possible hijack this Friday, so wear your sneakers. Less than 13% chance of rain after 7pm, and I can't imagine the pack will break away from the beers before then.
Like any great brewery kids are not allowed - but dogs are.

PS: Look at this weird lil munchkin. Don't you just want to drink his beers? I know I do.
