Just a short ferry ride from Seattle, Port Orchard, or Tacoma drops you into a little piece of paradise. Plan your next long weekend or full-fledged vacation closer to home and spend more time enjoying the calm beauty and fun-loving personality we call home.

What: A return to Vashon Island for some nice new terrain...all trails!
When: Saturday August 7th
Time: 2.30 PM (that's away at 3.00, don't miss the ferry)
How Much: $10, will have a grill and burgers (weather permitting)

Where: Gravel parking lot at 94th Ave SW & Fir Rd (see below for various directions)

Ferries from Seattle (Fauntleroy, West Seattle)
There's more choice but the ones closest to start are 1.40 PM - 2.00 PM

Directions to 94th Ave SW & Fir Rd From either ferry
Head North/South from ferry on Vashon Hwy SW.
Approx 6 miles north/7 miles south turn west onto SW Quartermaster Drive
Go along for approx 1.5 miles and turn right onto Dockton Road SW
Now stay on Dockton
Slight right to stay on Dockton Rd SW (2.9 mi)
Continue onto SW Dock St (0.2 mi)
Turn left toward 97th Ave SW (207 ft)
Turn left at 97th Ave SW (0.2 mi)
Take the 1st left onto SW 264th St/Fir Rd 0.1 mi
Look for gravel lot that is set back from the road
